The Prince’s Trust is an extraordinary and hard-working charity, founded by HRH The Prince of Wales to help disadvantaged young people get their lives on track. This year the Trust celebrated 40 years of supporting young people from 13-30 years of age who are unemployed, struggling at school or at risk of exclusion. Throughout this time, they have established their expertise for providing both practical and financial care to those that need it most, helping an incredible 825,000 young individuals improve and stabilise their lives.

Many of those helped by The Prince’s Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues of homelessness or mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law. The Trust provides excellent programmes that allow young people to help themselves, whether this is through improved self-esteem or providing access to training so that they have the skills to get the job they thought was out of reach. In the last 10 years alone, they have returned £1.4 billion in value to society, with three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust moving into work, education or training.

And they have no signs of slowing down, with plans to help an additional 100 individuals a day and constantly looking to improve their programmes; The Trust provides holistic, end-to-end support that goes above and beyond.

Elite Associates was honoured by the opportunity to contribute to their commendable cause, working in conjunction with Hackney Walk and The Trust’s “Get into Retail” programme. Much like the name would suggest, the programme provides vocational training for individuals looking for employment in the retail sector. Hackney Walk opened in the summer of this year and is “London’s first luxury outlet district”, boasting brands such as Anya Hindmarsh, Gieves & Hawkes, Joseph and many more.

Working together with The Prince’s Trust, our Training Academy was able to provide 12 young people with not only Luxury Client Experience and customer service skills, but also explored essential life skills including how to build empathy and develop interpersonal rapport.

"The Prince's Trust is truly an amazing organisation and Elite Associates is really honoured to be able to contribute to the continued success of the young people seeking guidance and opportunity. This year our Retail Training Academy contributed to their Get into Retail programme with not only vocational training, but career guidance on the luxury industry. We were so pleased to hear all the positive feedback from both the retailers and the participants." - Grant Morris, CEO Elite Associates.
