We all know that 2016 has been the year of change, and this extends beyond the worlds of fashion and politics and into that of beauty also. Previous spokeswoman for L’Oréal, Supermodel Linda Evangelista will be casting her expertise as the new Vice-President and Creative Director for beauty brand ERASA XEP-30.
Gaining much attention since its inception into the market last year, including the renowned Allure Best of Beauty Breakthrough award, ERASA XEP-30 is a prestige skincare concentrate whose combinations of natural and scientific ingredients promise its users noticeable results against the aging process. Evangelista has previously admitted to using Botox, much to her mother’s dismay, and claims that ERASA’s one and only product is the reason she’s stopped.
Evangelista will play an integral role in the business, ensuring that product remains relevant to the women of today with a direct impact on the scientific team’s innovation process – lab coat and all. She advised that she had been a fan of ERASA since trying it last year and cited it as “wholeheartedly a product I believe in and stand behind based on the true and lasting improvements I have seen in my skin”. Ms Evangelista’s modelling career has allowed her unparalleled access to the world’s most sought after beauty brands, and those behind the label are hopeful that this appointment will help cement them as industry-leaders in innovation, “producing ground-breaking products”.
There has been a trend of model’s producing their own skincare ranges of late; Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty to name just one. When asked why she chose to work with ERASA above others and above creating her own line, Linda advised that “this is the first time I could go out there and not have to lie."
This is not the only career change for one of the world’s most infamous supermodels. Kate Moss has also made headlines with the announcement of her new agency, which launched during fashion week. While fellow superstar Naomi Campbell remains prevalent both on and off the catwalk, hosting The Face and starring in American Horror Story. The age of the super model still reigns supreme, just in new iterations, and we wish Ms Evangelista the best of luck in her new role.
