Gatroempresrio Ricard Camarena has taken the city of Valencia by storm with three unique conceptual restaurants, all highlighting his exquisite gastronomic talents and passion for Mediterranean flavours. Camarena, along with his wife Carmen Bañuls, manages this gastronomic triptych wooing both tourist and local alike. Trained at the Valencia School of Hospitality and Tourism, our enterprising chef created Arrop, his first restaurant, in the town of Gandia back in 2004. But the call to Valencia was strong and led to the creation of Richard Camarena Restaurant in July 2012. He and his wife then closed Arrop and set their sights on creating a dining empire which now includes Central Bar located in Valencia's Central Market and Canalla Bistro, a fun and sophisticatedly affordable concept which is strategically linked to the main Restaurant.
Their principle restaurant is an exercise in warm and inviting minimalism. With interiors by Francesc Rifé, the restaurant features a convivial central table, tonal putty and sage walls, and sculptural touches of slatted wood, all designed around an open-view kitchen. The restaurant features a 90€ tasting menu which includes 7 mains and 2 desserts. RICARDCAMARENA.COM
